Request for USB Controller Support
Hi Ulrich,
I have found a lot of positive comments about these two USB interface Devices and their straight plug and play as a controller functionality.
http://www.leobodnar.com/shop/index.php ... cts_id=180
http://www.leobodnar.com/shop/index.php ... cts_id=205
These would be great for cockpit builders to add their own Encoders and also Buttons to the Cockpit for functions that just are not available in the Saitek line -- i.e. a Com Audio selector panel and say a GPS control unit. With the SimConnect library this would be an awesome addition since one would be able to have them also auto switch just like the current panels.
Anyway if you would be willing to add this function (probably would then just support generic plug and play game controllers as well) I would be happy to sponsor the purchase of the two units (and a couple switches to plug into them if you don't have any) for you to perform the required work.
I do have FSUIPC but I really like the SN UI configuration better -- plus the multi-Function per item is also really cool!!!
Thanks for the Consideration.
Les

Re: Request for USB Controller Support
I can tell you I've already been doing initial testing of Leo Bodnar Boards for SPAD implementation. I have two myself and they are excellent. They will be supported quite soon
I'm sure c0nnex will tell you more.

Re: Request for USB Controller Support
General Joystick support will most likely not make it into the 0.8.3 release (today).
Still too buggy and I don't want to delay the release any further.
I'll work on it a bit the next two days, but if it's not done, it will not be released to public before January.

Re: Request for USB Controller Support
Leo Bodnar Boards are good for inputs. Any one know of any USB output boards to drive LED's etc. that SPAD can support or add support for?

Re: Request for USB Controller Support
A lot of people use BIPs for that and extend the LEDs

Re: Request for USB Controller Support
yes but you have to be able to get them at a fair cost first.

Re: Request for USB Controller Support
Any USB LED Controller should be fine.
Once you have it , send me the USB Docs for it, and I'll add support.
