Merry X-mas and happy 5th anniversry!

Post by c0nnex » 24 Dec 2019, 04:12

Hi everyone,

usually I'm not the big socializer guy sending out xmas grettings, but thanks to @Oz Flyer, who reminded me, that indeed SPAD.neXt turns 5 this xmas.
(5 Years of public release, 7 years since early Alpha/Development)

So, thanks to all of you, for sticking along with SPAD.neXt and hopefully will stick around. Some bigger stuff is rising on the horizon and I think we are all looking forward to MSFS 2020.
Not much I can tell yet, since it's under NDA, but
- Yes, SPAD.neXt will support it
- Yes, the basic functionallity (all that FSX support's now, and is supported by MSFS2020) will be included in the current FSX licence of SPAD.neXt without any surcharge
- oh and yes it really looks amazing ;) If I were you I would peek out for some cheap SSD deals ;)

One word about 0.9.7 release.

Like every year, I will be "into the sun" for xmas and new year and there are still some flaws that I want to be addressed before release.
Instead of fire and forget releasing 0.9.7 now, and then vanish for vacation, i decided not to release it this year. It would be frustrating for you, if I would release it and there is a major bug, and I cannot react because I'm away.
Since I more or less promised to release it this year, every update-subscription that was valid to at least Dec. 15th will be eligible to receive the update once it is released in early january.

Always 3 green,
Ulrich aka c0nnex

p.s.: please keep in mind, due to my absense there will be slow/no response to tickets until Jan 6th. No Matter how many "please answer my ticket"-Tickets you open.

Hi Ulrich,
I been around from all most the start and SPAD.neXt has made my flying a hole lot more fun being able to get more then Saitek ever imagined would be posable out of panels, FIP's and using them for other Sims (ETS2, ATS, and even train Sims).

I remember our first you where having a problem with USB quadrants and we spent hours trying to work it out.

Have a great break and will see you in the New Year.

Ps. Can not wait to see MSFS 2020 in action.
1) Hope they have fixed the seasons North and South re. when summer is. (To others, If you do not know its SUMMER now where I live).
2) Fixed the parking brakes (They never release when you touch the foot brakes).

been looking on Amazon for M.2 SSD's thinking of getting a Samsung 970 M.2 1TB.
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-MZ-V7E ... 838&sr=8-3

I'm hoping 1TB would be enough for MSFS2020 I'm also hoping it will run on a 1080Ti because I can't afford £1,000-£1,300 for a 2080Ti

I guess we'll have to continue to wait for MS to release hardware specs
