FIP Splash Screen

Post by kit_havok » 09 Jun 2017, 23:26

Hi everyone.... I've just finished my trial period and absolutely loved your software. I went to the purchase page and looked over the features of each package, for me personally I only use X-Plane so obviously I would only need the X-Plane package.

Simple so far.... but then I noticed the Complete Package has an exclusive FIP Splash Screen feature. My question is would you consider making this feature an individual Add-On in the near future as an extra £57 isn't justifiable when I have no use for FSX / Prepar3D features just to have access to this one little extra feature.

I look forward to hearing from you, hopefully with some good news :D

Would be possible, BUT
The main issue is the pricing. To have at least something of it really come to my pocket, a minumum price of €6,99 needs to be met.
I am unsure if this feature is worth it, and I really don't want to start a "buy a addon for every sh*t" strategy. The overhead i get from that for taxes/maintaining/administration etc. fairly outnumbers the profit from it. Those stuff only makes sense if there will be a lot of people going to buy it, and i fairly doubt that.

I'll think about it a bit and maybe come up with a solution for you, or IF a lot of people ask for it make it an addon.

I'm thinking about the aspect of using the FIP controls as keyboard inputs for non-flight sim games (Elite Dangerous / Star Citizen / Euro Truck / etc) and having the ability for a custom splash image or gif animation of the ship, manufactuer logo, space map just for immersion and asthetics.

I would, and i'm almost certain others would pay a reasonable price for this facility and €7 sounds like a pretty low price to me..... if you decide this would be a good business venture, then i'll purchase both x-plane edition and this FIP Splash feature.

For ETS/ATS you can even load gauges onto the fips, assuming you have the ETS/ATS addon :)
There will be some gauges specially for ETS/ATS be available soonish. (http://www.spadnext.com/forum/viewtopic ... 25&t=14934)

Elite: Dangerous is on the todo-list for "Sims to be supported", as it provides a telemetry sdk meanwhile.

If you can get elite working I could actually sell the gauges I made a year ago :-( can't believe you did ETS2 first!

Recently i've been spending my Elite / ETS hours in VR which is unbelievably good and so not really using my hardware.... but an API for Star Citizen, that'd be the dream :geek:
