Hi,
I wonder if it is possible to implement a Virtual Key press for Switch Panel...
Thank you
Dave

Re: Virtual Key Press
With the combination of sending offsets/FSX controls/virtual joystick i couldn't see why you would need to send keystrokes. Are you able to explain why you need to initiate any function via keystroke?davenicoll wrote:Hi,

Re: Virtual Key Press
Hi,
To be able to use the Master Battery and Alternator with A2A Cessna 172 and 182 and Cherokee...
They do not use the Standard and they suggested using a virtual Key press which I did and it worked a charm with the Saitek switch panel.

Re: Virtual Key Press
if you know the function within FSUIPC you can trigger it with a Virtual Button (or offset/FSX control). Where have you programmed the simulator to accept your keystrokes ? in FSX or FSUIPC?
if in FSX you should be able to send FSX controls straight from SPAD or if setup in FSUIPC then you can use the offset or a virtual Button to trigger the same control that your keystrokes currently do
What do you see in the FSUIPC logging window when you activate these functions using keystrokes? (I think you should be able to emulate the same sequence from SPAD without keystrokes).
I'm no expert, but I've not found any function out of reach needing keystrokes as yet as long as you know the offset/FSX control Number and on/off parameters.
I usually fire up the FSUIPC console window, activate my controls/functions (outside of SPAD), watch them appear in the logging window and write down the 6xxxxx number and "param" values.
If you know the functions within FSUIPC, then just trigger using virtual button instead. Doing it this way also means to can change the function by aircraft/profile
Hope this helps. I'm certainly not the most qualified to advise on this.
