Hi, mentioned this previously. When cutting BIP Plates the delete takes place straight away and means the data in the clipboard has to be pasted so not to loose the cut data, if you decide to change your mind and cut from else where the first plate is now blank and the original cut data lost. The delete part of the cut shouldn't take place until the clipboard data has been safely been pasted.
Wasn't sure if to add this as a bug or feature request so a discussion about it seemed like a good idea.
In addition and very much related. My BIP config is now full, so now if I want to re-arrange my plates I got to decide which plate to delete before I can move stuff around. I thought I could copy one plate into the clipboard and paste it into notepad, while that probably would work it's a bit naff. Just wondering if I should request a temp slot as the side of the BIP to move a plate too so I can then re-arrange OR even better, request for a swop plates function ? sort of goes back to my drag and drop swop request earlier. Even if this wasn't as fancy as a drag and drop swop just being able to right click/edit/swop then click on the plate you want to swop it with would be just as good and would save having to have a retainer slot.
What do you think ?

Re: BIP: Cut + Cut = lost data
hmm that would be different from how every clipboard operation in this work works ....thedazman wrote:Hi, mentioned this previously. Cut means -> Copy to CB , Delete
Why just not COPY it and then CLEAR it afterwards?
Other opinions?
hmm hmm .. Add a feature request .. should be easy to do.thedazman wrote: In addition and very much related.
