I have not used Spad for more than a year. Started it up, it downloaded an update. Whenever I started it, it would remind me about the year of updates has ended. Today it stopped doing that. (I may have hit the Do not remind me again).
Now it is starting up minimized, appears to be functional, states its connected, but I can not get it off of the taskbar and when I right click and hit show on the icon, it does not pop up on the screen.

Most likely you chnaged monitor configuration and it's now off-screen.
If the problem persists delete the file %APPDATA%\SPAD.neXt\conf\WindowPlacements.xml
