I have problems with setting the correct heading. At start all seems to work fine but after a while when I change the heading it jumps to zero. Chnaging the heading again it will jump back to zero again. What can be the cause?
Paul.

Re: Heading settings
Heading?
What variable are you setting?
What simulator?
What aircraft?
What hardware?
How are you setting “heading”?
Snipet coded?
Profile coded?
Manually coded?
Want to start again from the start?
Any setting that changes after setting is usually conflicting with something else changing the same setting.

Re: Heading settings
I'm using this with preprar3d V4.2 flying a Beech King.
I'm using the multi panel from Saitek. Clock wise turn > Increment ap heading value by one, counter clock wise decrement ap heading value by one.
The display shows the AP heading value.
Till now it has worked flawless but recently it started to show this behaviour where the heading value always jumps back to zero when the I cahnge the heading setting on the panel. Strange is that it happens after about 20 minutes of flight.
My guess is that it started after I upgraded to 4.2 of Prepar3d so I will consider of rolling that back.
Greetings,
Paul.

Re: Heading settings
Unlikely to be P3D v4.2.
I’m running that version of P3D and SPAD and HDG on multipanel without issues. Does it do it on all aircraft?
Something else must be setting the variable?
Any gauges running which display or control heading? any other hardware you are using? Any other simulator related software running?
You might have to raise a SPAD support ticket and provide the log files immediately after the variable changes.
Odd that it’s changing 20 mins into a flight
