SPAD.neXt

Hello there, first post here.

I have MSFS, Bravo and Alpha.

Now please bare with me im a noob.

If I create a 2 engine aircraft profile and a 4 engine aircraft profile do I need to also physically map the alpha and bravo within spad to assign respectively to those profiles as well?

And if so how do I know what actual assignment in the SIM I need to select for every button on the hardware?

For example there are a ton of autopilot settings I can choose from in the SIM itself so how do I know which one is correct for the actual button on the hardware for creating the spad remapped profile?

Does my question make sense, sorry brain overload I have no idea what buttons on the hardware get married to the hundreds of settings in the SIM

Can someone please help me with this please

Hi, Welcome.

Look at Spad.Next, click the plus sign on left hand side, then event monitor.

Go back to the flight sim and start flicking switches in the cockpit and you'll see what command is triggered by pressing what switch.
Map these to your desired controls and away you go.

Top-Tip:

Make one profile, set as much as you can, then create a new profile for each aircraft using that one as a base. Saves repeating yourself many times over as you jump in / out of new aircraft.

Does spad use the same name or something different than MSFS?

Also do i need to delete the mapping for the devices within MSFS? What I mean is there is a default Bravo Profile within MSFS for example how do i stop the sim using those triggers and use SPADS triggers, do you know what I mean?

See screenshot below.
Open the event monitor and press a button / switch.
Here you can see I pressed Aileron Left and it shows in the event monitor.

I then mapped this command to button 9 on my yoke.

It would be advisable to clear any commands already set in both SpadNext & MSFS before you set up your own to avoid any strange behavior due to conflicting commands being sent.
