Client vs no client PC

I just upgraded my PC to an Intel i9-10900K CPU and video card to an RTX-3090. I am going to do a clean install of spad.next to control 5 panels and 6 FIPs along with yoke, rudder & throttle quads. In my last system I drove all 6 FIPs off a client PC to save processing power on the simulator PC. With my new PC should I even bother to use a client PC for the FIPs anymore or is the i9-10900K powerful enough that I won’t really notice a difference in sim speed by using client PC? Thx. -Nick

I run only an i7 with just an RTX 1080 (lucky you getting a new card) and 12 FIPs. I run my fips of a second pc but only because I have twelve. When I had six I never noticed an difference And only a very slight difference with 12.

I would say try them on the new PC as standalone you shouldn’t notice them. Of course to could still run the client to see for your self if there an improvement worth keeping a second pc running. If I had i9 with 3090 and only 6 FIPs I would definitely only run one machine

Thanks Dax. I think I will follow your advice and start by installing all 6 FIPs on the sim PC. You make great gauges BTW...I have purchased almost all of them. Keep up the great work!
