Starting jet engine using throttle quad switch

I am trying to (sort of), recreate the engine autostart without using engine autostart, ha! Using my Saitek (Logitech) Yoke Throttle Quad I am using one of the buttons (T3/T4 switch), found on the bottom of the quad. For the up selection (T3) of the switch I am using the TOGGLE_STARTER1 action which appears to work correctly. Then I set up the down selection (T4) to TOGGLE_FUEL_VALVE_ENG1. The idea is once N1 is >17% (using a simple PA A318 model), I click down on the switch and the engine starts. But no go?

Can someone with more experience lead me as to where I am going wrong?
