Variable that I can change

Post by TynMahn » 02 May 2016, 01:21

Is there anyway to change the value of a variable in SPAD.next at will.

What I'd like is some way to create a variable in Spad.next that I can, whenever I want, change the value of on the fly. So that, when I'm building a FIP gauge, I can change the string to the fake variables name and change the values to make sure that he needle or bug or indicator or whatever is behaving the way it should be.

This can be done, kind of, by starting FSX and manipulating the aircraft, but, this can be a bit tedious and also, somethings, like engine/oil temp/pressure, stuff like that, isn't as easy to make change.

If there is a way to do this, please let me know where I can find instructions and if there is not, it would be a pretty nice feature.

Thanks,

You can change variable values ( even the sim values) in the event monitor. Just double click the value and edit it.

For Designing Gauges there is a special Gauge-Designer addon for SPAD.neXt, which is exactly for the purpose of designing gauges etc. But it's not yet available to public.

I prefer to bind a variable to a dial, that way I can increment and decrement the variable at will.

Same way you would bind any data definition to a dial, only click new variable enter variable name and bind that.
