Thank you for taking on the task of SPAD development!

I own a switch, multi and communications panel, as well as the yoke and a TPM. Please let me know if there's anything I can do to help out with panels that you don't currently have.

same here Ulrich, i have the 3 panels with FSX and P3D V2.5++ happy to help. I am currently running Spad 6 and spad.next at the same time (having set all the SW to no action in spad6) and works OK, only problem is I tried to add spad.next to the exe.xml and get a an error msg box titled Configuration Error Could not read Devices, click OK and nothing happens ,. Now I start P3D and Spad6 and then spad.next and all is OK. Tried a few combos of exe.xml but even with spad.next only it fails.

Ulrich here is the Log, I set ensbled in the exe.xml, spad6 disabled , get the error click OK, load a plane and then close P3D
No Spad.next screen is displayed.

there is no conf folder in the root of P3D, I found the folder conf in the spad root folder...H:\FLIGHT SIMULATOR FILES\SPAD\SPAD.neXt.0.1.0.0\SPAD.neXt.0.1.0.0\conf and the SPAD Devices.xml file in it...

I then placed a copy of the conf folder in the root of P3D , start P3D and get the msg no profile exists creating a default one. The spadnext screen appears but all my settings are defaul now..(bad luck, will do them again), shut down P3D and then shut down (Close) Spad.next. here is the log ..

I rename the logs in between tests so there is only one scenario per log.

Hey Jorge,

SPAD.neXt currently has to be started from the directory where the conf,lang,profiles etc directories are. Without those files it will not work properly.
I strongly recommend to keep all the SPAD.neXt stuff separated and not to copy it into the P3d/FSX Directory! It might overwrite vital files!

With the next alpha coming this weekend, SPAD.neXt will be a bit more "autostart friendly" and expect those directories where the exe resides and give feedback if something is wrong.

Please keep in mind, SPAD.neXt is a standalone software, not a P3D/FSX Addon....

Ulrich Spad.next was looking for files in the root of P3D.. as in here 'J:\Prepar3D v2\conf\SPAD Devices.xml' thats why I did what I did...looking forward to the new version...

Ah you are right ... It currently looks for it in the directory from where it has been started. In you case p3d.
This behavior is changed (v0.1.1.0), so in future you can call it from anywhere.
