[HOW TO] Set up a basic radio panel

Post by solo86 » 02 Feb 2016, 00:06

Hi

I've documented the various settings needed to set up a standard Saitek Radio Panel from 'scratch'.
The settings for each of the functions are in a pdf document.
There doesn't seem to be a facility to load it on to the forum for you to download,
so
If you want a copy please contact me.

You might find it useful to see what functions you need to use.

Regards

Peter

I'd love a copy of that. If my email doesn't come through, try a PM.

I would like to see what you have. I have most of the functions working but am unable to get com 1 swap working, com 2, nav 1 and 2 work great. I have the Kholsman window displaying next to the xponder but I can't get it to adjust, xponder works fine. Also I'm unable to get DME functions working. Thanks and if I can be of any help let me know. I have three radio panels, com 1 & 2, nav 1 & 2, Bari & xponder and dual DME. I also have the switch panel, multi panel and BIP panel. The switch and BIP are fully functional, haven't messed with the multi panel yet. Also have the TPM and two throttle quadrants. Want to use the quads for light dimmers, cabin heat, vent and defrost. Thanks again, Kris.
Three radio panels, switch panel, multi panel, BIP, TPM, two throttle quadrants, Cessna yolk and rudder pedals all Saitek. Flap switch and fuel switch from Desktop Aviator. Two monitors and two IPads. All strapped to Volair is simpit in an RV!

Why not just use Dropbox and post a link to the shared document?

Hi Peter,

If you have the time, I also would like a copy. I too have 3 radios but am completely lost with the programming. I seem to be reasonably good at construction but Lost when it comes to the programming side of things. I'm in the process of building a flight deck 737 using PMDG but having downloaded the profile, I've become somewhat frustrated with what to do next.

I note that with the PMDG, the landing gear lever doesn't bring the gear down - is it me or the system. Apparently the Multipanel digits do not display given the idiosynchrasises of PMDG. While I think that the designer of SpadNext should be placed in the same mould as Peter Dowson, I would more than happy to pay or donate for a complete working arrangement with PMDG.

I suppose that this is the wrong forum to discuss the latter aspect but I would appreciate you forwarding your hard work so I can get additional knowledge. Thankyou for your time.
