MSFS Power Config for Backlit Information Panel (BIP)

I'm trying to configure the power configuration for the Saitek Backlit Information Panel (BIP) so that it will turn on or off based on the battery switch position. It does not appear in the list of devices. For that matter, it does not appear in MSFS controller list. It does seem to display events correctly though. Is this an issue that Microsoft needs to address? Does the BIP show up in anybody elses MSFS2020 controller list?
