SimConnect test timeout while MSFS2020 is running

Post by Yohannas » 20 Aug 2020, 23:51

I'm using the config wizard trying to get MSFS2020 working with SPAD.next, but the SimConnect connection test is timing out even when the sim is running and a flight is loaded. I'm using the Windows Store version. What am I doing wrong? The wizard won't let me proceed without this. Thanks

Just skip the test and you should be fine.
If you are fine can be identified by the bottom statusline in SPAD.neXt
it should say "Simulation: Kittyhawk" (That's the MS Codename for MS Filightsimulator)

Thanks for replying. It's giving me the message that I've disabled both SimConnect and FSUIPC, so it won't be able to connect to the simulator. Have I clicked the wrong thing? Sorry if I'm being dumb :D

EDIT: Ignore me, it's up and running now. I had chosen the option to not use SimConnect - instead I chose to use SimConnect but skipped the test, and that worked perfectly! Thanks again!

You can not disable SimConnect at all.

You are to just skip over the and ignore the connection Test. Tell it to use simconnect and then ignore the test.

Once done you should see at the bottom of the screen that it is connected to the Sim
