Custom FIP
Since working with the arduino / teensy is so easy, I'll checkout to build a custom FIP.
Roughly calculated it should be possible to build a fip (with even biger screen or higher resolution and touch) for less than $60 (opposed to >$150 for the saitek one)

Re: Custom FIP
Do you have any idea if this be based on the Teensy 3.5? or one of the other?
If not I will wait to get one.

Re: Custom FIP
I will let you know as soon as my tft arrived and i played with it on the teensy. Currently i favorize the teensy 3.5 as it's cheap, small and good to program

Re: Custom FIP
My first try will be this ones :
https://www.pjrc.com/store/display_ili9341_touch.html and https://www.pjrc.com/store/display_ili9341.html together with a teensy 3.2
The first one is even touch and higher res, so one might not need hardware buttons. will check if it's still big enough for my clumsy fingers
Both are a little bit smaller (2.8/2.2 inches opposed to 3.5 on FIP). I'll report and make some pics videos about the diffrence.
Due to the amazing speed, I'll try to offload the complete rendering to the teensy. This could save a looot of cpu on the sim computer. Only problem will be the storage/ram. Might need to add a SD card then or go for Teensy 3.5/3.6 which has it boarded already.
