Has anyone replaced the enocoders on a Logitech Radio panel?

Hi!
Im about to replace the flimsy frequence change encoders on my Logitech Radio panel. I guess I should just connect it to the scope and see how they works, but has anyone out there done it already, and if so, are those stock "encoders" actually working like standard rotary encoders?
Regards

If someone is interested the stock encoders can be replaced by standard rotary encoders sending 4 pulser/click. Soldering points are accessable and there is plenty of room for new encoders, or even a custom made circuit board.
