To program the CRS or OBS Knob on the HSIB panel you can try the folowing that was programmed on the Saitek guage. Click on the Left Knob (Yellow CRS) and ADD AVENT, Choose CLOCKWISE Turn. When in SPAD, does the joystick show under CONTROLS. If so Click on the joystick The screen should show all the Buttons / Axes and the Hatswitches. I have a Saitek Yoke, found no problem in changing the Hat Switch functions. When I click on the hat switch and click ADD EVENT, get an option of 16 variables. Are you using a Joystick or a Yoke.

Since the previous problems with USB Powered Hubs, I investigated the actual current drain on the Saitek equipment. I am a retired electronics technician with good quality test equipment.A USB breakout cable was made to enable me to measure Voltage and Current when the equipment was in Flying state....

There was delayed reactions when the buttons were pressed.I disconnected the FIPs but left the Radio/MP/SP/ yoke and rudders connected. All seems ok with these panels etc and no delay. Thank you for the information. I did update my hubs from USB 2 to USB 3, I did not suspect that this was a problem, as I was told the hubs were backward compatible.
